How many kill switches and where?

I have a M1097A2, I won't be doing any major off-roading, and jumping the grand canyon or anything.

I have read many things on kill switches, placement, etc, so I wanted to ask everyone here (people who actually know a thing or two)...

I think the safest place to put a kill switch would be on the NEG side - easy.

But then doesn't the second battery still have a connection and could possibly drain?

Which would be better?

Thank you,

The batteries are hooked in series. Any "break" in them will result in the vehicle not starting. I have a "+" side kill switch on my M923 and a "-" on my M715. Both work fine. Here is a thread regarding the pros and cons of each.

As far as placement, it depends on whether or not youre looking for hidden or convenient. On my 5 ton, if you know what you're looking for, it's pretty easy to find. On my M715, it's hidden.

On the 5 ton I used this

On my M715, I used this as it allows me to remove the "key".

Best of luck!
