How to figure year of manufacture of M923 or M923A1?

Hello all,

I have a terrible case of wanting an M923 or M923A1.

Thing is, it needs to be 25 years or older here in MO in order to qualify for historic license plates which GREATLY simplify ownership.
It sure did with my bobbed deuce!

The reason I ask is SO many GL auctions have "unknown year" and I do not want to go in blind on this and get bitten after the fact.

I've seen the VIN breakdown documents and such but they merely break down the models, not year of manufacture.

Sorry to ramble.

From my observations, the 900 series were built 83-85 and the 900A1's 86-87 ish.

That's cutting it close with the A1's.
Missouri's historic vehicle "cut off" is 25 years old.......1987!

I have a M923A1 that is a 1985 and a M931A1 that is a 1986.
