how to find mv info

i have a 50's model deuce and dont know any military info except for whats on the dash and title. i don't know what war it was in if any or what company it may have come from. any help wolud be great on finding this info out. i can't paint it without knowing what emblems go on it. i know no other info except what is listed on title like i said let them truckers roll
