Where can I get my humvee insured in Louisiana? I called hagerty and he said they don't do insurance in this area. I assume even in Texas people have this issue

Hagerty just told me that I had to be in a garage so that was a no go for me but nothing about location.

Do state farm has a certain year? Mines is a 2002 so I don't know how would that work since its 19 years old

I don't recall them making a big deal of the year- Mine is a 91.

Its the actual year, in the email hagerty said it needed to be 20 years or older and then on the phone they said I can't use them in my location. I will call state farm and see how it goes

I know apples and oranges, but my 1990 M923A2 is insured by State Farm as a classic also. (With towing!)

State Farm will cover these as well as Progressive. USAA "covers" them - but puts it through a Progressive "commercial" policy.

Just following this thread. My M1097A1 restore is wrapping up and I’m struggling to find an insurance carrier. Can you recommend anyone? I’d appreciate any advice.

I used State Farm for my M923A2. It's insured as a classic vehicle (like an old corvette etc). I can't use it for a daily driver, but the premium is low AF and is comprehensive coverage.

Progressive commercial will do it for full coverage. State Farm will only do liability insurance now on those. USAA will refer you to progressive

I would check with state farm. La is different than the other 49 states with our laws.
State farm does both my m923 & m998 as classic.

may i ask what is the approx rate you are getting? i asked state farm, my current insurance carrier, about 1151a1 liability only, for me, and it was $108 per month.
that is a lot considering my 2016 suburban has full coverage for less than that.

I have "hostoric" insurance on it. Like an old Vette or Chevy. Limits me to parades, camping and car shows, but it's about 90.00 every six months. Includes roadside assistance, towing and comprehensive.
