My speedo stopped. I checked the cable and it was broken near the firewall. I replaced it. Still not working. I took out the speedo dial and the parts connecting the cable to the gear box. When I checked them with my drill they worked fine. Just in case I replace the parts connecting to and going into the gearbox, except for the nylon/plastic geared piece that fits into the gearbox as it seems fine. Still the speedometer does not move. Checking the speedo dial again out of the dash with my drill it works fine. Any ideas are very welcome. I plan on taking the dash off and disconnecting the cable from the speedometer so I can watch the end of the cable to see if it spins as I drive. Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you all.
