I have a Warn 24 Volt 12,000lb winch. What is the best way to mount it to my M1025?

Not sure where to mount in front or how to mount to front or if Military mount meant for hydraulic winch will fit this winch.

Physical mounting, [although tips about running the wires are appreciated I really need to know how to bolt the darned thing to my vehicle.]

Searching the BB only confused me.

Best,

T

I've got a commercial, 12,000 lb electric winch on my truck.

I used the frame extensions (left and right) with the winch "bumper" (got mine surplus from eBay).

I don't know what the mounting bolt pattern is on the Warn military winch but if it's 4"x9" it will bolt up to that bumper. My commercial winch was the more common 4"x10". I had a metal fab shop modify the bumper for my winch. Everything bolted up fine with new Grade 8 hardware.

RyanRuck,

Should I assume you mean HMMWV frame extensions and HMMWV winch bumper for the hydraulic winch?

Thanks,

T

I think maybe I should redirect and ask which SteelSoldiers vendor can supply me with an entire mounting brackets and bracket hardware.

Instead of trying to get all the parts separately, maybe I should just support a vendor and buy the parts along with that their experience, so I get what I need.

Who are the preferred vendors from this website that I can support?

My apologies...

Ryanruck absolutely posted the information. It was embedded into his reply. I never thought to click on the color-highlighted words.

NICE JOB RYANRUCK!

Many Thanks.

Sorry, I forgot to post a follow up I meant to make when I got home since I made my posts from the road. Been busy cleaning up storm damage and forgot.

Here's a couple pics of what the setup looks like assembled that I scrounged up when I was looking to put my winch on my truck.

Some pics of the winch setup on an ECV configured truck. It's a different winch bumper but the same idea. I think these were from a member here but I could be wrong...

If I could remember where I found them I'd give credit.

And here's a couple pics I had saved of my truck with the winch.

Here's how the metal fab shop modded that winch bumper for me. They elongated the mounting holes to accommodate the 4"x10" mounting pattern and added extra reinforcements to the bottom holes after they were elongated.

Those 3 parts I linked and the Grade 8 bolts/nuts/washers are the only parts you should need to mount the winch. Sorry I don't have the specs on the bolts you'll need but they will need to be longer than the factory bolts you are removing. An extra half inch longer I want to say.

It is unfortunate that Flea-Bay does not have the brackets and such today. Just the main face piece.

I will call site vendors over this next week to see if they have all the parts including, mounting brackets and such.

The excellent pictures you provided will be helpful.

Best of luck with the flood. I went through one with the hurricane, and it is painful.

THANKS.

Thankfully no flooding, just wind damage. I'm on the high ground for a reason.

Just an FYI, I got the frame extensions from HPG and the bumper from eBay. Kascar has the frame extensions for about the same price but, since they ship factory OE parts 100%, I prefer HPG after I've gotten some unknown origin, out of spec parts from Kascar.

Mac Motors also has the frame extensions quite a bit cheaper. I didn't know about Mac when I ordered mine though. $67.44 for the left and $94.42 for the right (no idea why there's a nearly $30 price difference on the same design parts ). Just search for parts 12342387 and 12342388 respectively. That should save you $70 right there.
