I am selling this but need some help identifying what I got. The part number does not come up in searches in the TM's, this forum, or the google. Two part numbers that are very close deal with Aerial Recovery Kits or possibly ratcheting strap parts.
My assumption is it is a ratchetable strap for helicopter slung loads.
It seems to be quad thickness for a few feet in a couple of places. It's about 40 feet long and OD Green.
Thanks for any ideas. Details are in the pictures.
EDIT: I found these numbers printed on the webbing "81996 1670EG056 MFR 92729"
1670EG056-1 shows up in TM-55-1520-400-14 Transportability Guidance Marine Transport of US Army Helicopters. Listed as "Bellyband Straps". The TM shows Seabees how to load helicopters onto ships.
******* The main questions are what's the load rating/weight capacity? And, would this be good for recovery/towing?
