ignition circuit board?

Anyone know anything about the ignition circuit board thing thats under the dash? I guess it turns the solenoid for the glow plugs on and off. But just wondering why they quit working? Can they be repaired? Is there a way to run the truck with out it? Just questions cuz we got like 20 of those circuit boards all in op. and i was wondering if theres a way to fix them. LOL no more chevy dealer on Hawaii anymore and thats who we got the replacement boards from.

There has been a couple of threads in the past on repairing them. For a manual set up, go to the cucv sticky, it tells how to make a manual switch for the GP's.
