ok the ignition switch has 4 connectors ABC and D. 2 of the connectors are marked with lines molded into the rubber and the other two are smooth.

My question is what connector is what? I have 3 switches and none have any visible labels for ABC and D.

I have search for this to no avial

I don't have your answer, but I may have a solution.

First, I bumped a thread that has a good wiring schematic in post #18. the thread is by Recovery4x4 and mentions a wiring schematic in the title. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/3843-peter-bogs-cad-deuce-schematic-2.html

Next, I suggest you use a ohm meter on the switch. The ignition switch is pretty basic. When you study the diagram, you will see power coming in and going out. With the switch disconnected you should be able to probe the connectors for continuity and figure out what the positions are for the wires.

hope this keeps you in action. Let us know what you find.
