Search for "compensator bypassed" and you should find pics of the fuel lines either way. And some good explanations of what it means. If you don't find what you want post up again. If your having trouble searching, ask for search tips.

From what I have heard, if it's bypassed, leave it. It's only important (again, from what I've heard) when running your multifuel on Gasoline (and the like), as it compensates for the lower BTU content (read less power) of that fuel. If you're running Diesel, 50-50 WMO/WVO + Gasoline or whatever, it won't affect you.

So if I mix the fuels to stay around the same density I will run fine. If I want a true Multifuel I need to install a FDC. The next question is were can I get them?

Thanks

You do not need the FDC. Speaking from 1 hand exp, you can run 100% gasoline without the FDC. The F.D.C. IN NO WAY makes your engine a multifuel. All it does it try to keep power output of the engine even based on the density of the fuel being burned. A multifuel with the FDC bypassed can run the exact same fuels as a multifuel with the FDC connected.

The FDC is a common leak point for fuel to get into the oil. Keep it bypassed (That's why they started bypassing them). Mine had no issues, but I bypassed mine as preventive maintenance.
