Starting this for folks to post the Independence day parades they participated in this year. Please feel encouraged to add your own posts.
My group, LoneStar MVPA, was invited by the City of Lakeway to participate in their parade. We had 16 vehicles scheduled, but two had to cancel because the owners had to work, and one decided it wasn't going to run that morning (old trucks do that).
My contribution was the M422A1 Mighty Mite (driven by my daughter), the M37B1, the M1028A2 driven by my bride, and me in the M931A2 with the M1061A1 trailer. The M1061 is how the M37 rides long-distance to events. (and it is not chained down yet in the photo).
My M37 is on long-term loan to Reloder64's dad, who drove them in Korea and Japan in the 1950s. They didn't have spare tires on the doors back then, and to him it didn't look right with it on there, so the spare went to a bed mount and the door mount was removed and stored.
Other participants were M274A5 Mule, M38A1, two M151A2s, GPW jeep, an early 1960s IH Scout, one Humvee, Pawnshop's M1009, and Reloder64s M35A2.
The Scout was used by the Army in Korea. The current owner's uncle drove that one there, when it was turned in for disposal he bought it at auction and had it shipped home. It got painted blue at some point, but Jim has restored it in it's original service markings.
Cheers
