Looking at some pics of a potential buy. What is the circled item in red (caked in oil). Almost looks like an injector pump.

Injection pump is on top of the engine above the valley (I think it would be difficult to take apart and set there!) Not exactly sure what that is offhand though. The fan, radiator, hoses and other stuff are definitely disconnected.

Looks like the steering gear, Shepard on that unit and very expensive.

Hahahaha! Im not in a big rush and am working with the seller to do X/Y/Z. If he does those things and it passes the test drive/ prebuy inspection, Ill drive her home. RE the photo.....you know how it goes, you sit at home after looking at a car and dissect every little detail.
