I have read the IP manual 2910-226-34 and searched online but didn't find a definite answer.

Before removing the pump I aligned the crankshaft, the IP timing wheel and the red mark was one tooth off of the pointer on the hydraulic head.

I have the pump on the workbench and removed the Hydraulic Head for cleaning. It was gummed up from BAD fuel.

When I am reinstalling the head , do I align the mark on the timing wheel and then align the red tooth on the head gear?

When I took it apart the timing wheel was 1/2" counter cloack wise.

Also what is the best way to reintall the fuel control unit?

Thanks in advance.
