Im looking at a used rebuilt IP,less than 5k miles on rebuild (750$for the rebuild),He doesn't Know what was done to pump but it was set-up for a turbo 6.2 with marine type injectors. Will it work on a N/A 6.2? I would think for 750$ it has new head and rotor, but not sure,Can I just turn it down a bit or should I pass on it? Well I bought it for 175$ with hardlines also,I figure a 750$ rebuild it probably has new head and rotor but who knows.

Thanks for the input guys, but how would an IP that's been turned up for a turbo and marine injectors perform on a NA 6.2.I don't want to be blowing smoke and waste fuel.

You can pull it apart with basic tools and measure the roller to roller dimension, then set it back to something more appropriate for a 6.2 NA (I have the dimensions written down at home). It isn't that hard, but you should make up a holding plate to bolt the pump to (or an old engine block. With some latex gloves, a clean place to work and some diesel in a squirt bottle it isn't that hard to do. You will need a helper with compressed air to measure the roller to roller dimension. You have to pull the head and rotor out to measure. Other option is to do the WAG method and back it off a quarter turn, then drive it. Only oddball tools needed are a 1-2" micrometer, and a jig to hold the pump. A seal kit would be wise too, get them on eBay...
