I was thinking of using the wiring terminal below my radio mount, to wire up a 24v-120v inverter? I would like to have the capability to run anything from a laptop to a window unit air-conditioner. How hard or expensive would this be?

If the wring to the terminal is 2 AWG, it will support a 2500 Watt 24 volt inverter. You will need a minimum of #2 wire to make the connection, a 150 amp circuit breaker is a good idea as is a disconnect although most circuit breakers have a manual trip.

The inverter will be $280+, far more if you think you need a pure sine wave (you don't for the listed uses). Another $50 for wire and circuit breaker plus crimp ring terminals.
