I saw a AN/TTC-59A shelter which housed the JNN( Joint Network Node ) system on the back of a HMMWV. The inside pictures showed that it has several 19" racks. What caught my eye was that the racks appear to be 12U "cubes" that can then be bolted together into a larger layout and customized as needed. I thought this was pretty slick. In previous shelters and command vehicles I've seen, it always seemed the 19" equipment racks were always custom built and fit into the specific enclosure. This approach in the JNN shelter appeals to me a lot more since they are now building blocks.
I've attached a picture of these rack modules. The left side shows just a single 12U rack module on its own. The right side shows two of these 12U rack modules stacked, and bolted together with plates.
Does anybody know if that 12U rack cube has its own part number or NSN? Does anybody know of some place selling just those rack modules?
