First let me apologize for not having an avatar, haven't gotten around to it yet. Too busy reading about all these awesome rigs. My question is with the turbos on the multi fuels. Did the C and D turbos come on rigs for certain years models or were they all mixed up just depending on what was ordered? Thanks in advance.

They were retrofitted anytime an engine overhaul was done. Turbo was mainly to keep the EPA satisfied because the trucks put out a lot less visible smoke (turbo increased the amount of air, so more complete combustion occurred). All were supposed to be refitted, but a lot got missed because they were motor pool queens (IE, not used enough to bother with).
