OTTAWA Kansas is having their annual Veterans day celebration this Saturday Nov 7th in Forrest park at the north end of town. It is an all day event that starts with a parade through town in the morning, and has displays and reenactments that go to late afternoon, bring a MV or display and you get free lunch. A few of us from KC and Topeka will be there plus all are welcome. There is free camping if you come out Friday night. Parade line up is at 09:00 at the park. Or if you don't bring your MV the best place in town to watch the parade is 4th & main. If you need more info call Ray Shumate 785-242-9641

Sat November, 7th Come celebrate the history of our nation by honoring veterans from all of the 20th century. Annually, the Veterans Day parade is one of the largest in Ottawa (over 150 entries) beginning at 11am. Then join hundreds of people each afternoon in Forest Park for reenactments and battles from the Civil War through Vietnam.
