Good afternoon all. I have a 6500435 KDS smart start box that was labeled "bad". I took it apart just to see, and it appears that one (1) of the resistors on the board has burned up, otherwise, it looks perfect. Does anyone have an electronic schematic or diagram that list the resistor values and placement on the board? I'd really like to try to repair this one before I barf up $1000 for a new one. Thanks.

Welcome to the SS forums!!
There is little repair info for the EESS boxes as there are so many different ones and they were never meant to be repaired.
The burned component is almost never the actual problem so intensive troubleshooting skills are required

Here’s the board out of my KDS controller.. it had a burned trace but all the components are intact if you need a value off one or more, lemme know. I didn’t throw this out when I converted mine to a manual just in case it would help someone out in the future.

My recommendation would be to convert the box to manual in KISS fashion, but check your board for burned traces. If it’s just a popped component it may be an easy fix.

Update for all : two soldering irons, a micro butane torch and several cuss words later I've got both plugs unsoldered from the board, and two continuous duty 24 volt solenoids with heavy duty silver contacts on the way, I'm about to have my way with this box! Thanks to all for the info.......
