Any tips and best brands where to get them I know there are very knowledgeable people here I appreciate your help
This will be my first rodeo with a Dana 60 which I really like to know more about it
Thank a lot soldiers

TM 9-2320-289-34, chapter 6, page 71 would be a good place to research, chapter 6-1 says to pull the shaft, but that may be for a different job covered further down the chapter, not necessarily the king pins.

Hope it helps

You can look up gm part numbers in the tm and Google search it. You can find nos parts in old gm boxes pretty cheap. Ebay has a bunch of parts with no idea what they fit...makes for a cheaper build with good gm parts. I'd avoid any gm part in a new gm box unless you buy it at a dealer. To many fakes out there. Since it's a dana 60 there are very good aftermarket companies making heavy duty parts too. Just depends on which way you want to go

You say you need to change you kingpins. What is the issue? Excessive play? It you are getting movement on the top, it could be as simple as replacing the nylon bushing that rides on the kingpin under the spring. Here is a typical rebuild kit, from a company that I would recommend, as they live and breathe old GM trucks.

Thank you yeah the driver side tire looks more open at the bottom where it touch the pav, when I turn I hear a noice and feel like a bump in that area, some game too. I’m planning on remove the differential change 4x4 knobs too and all rods and terminals for steering.
I like this truck a lot my kids grown up so it’s getting all my attention now steering gear box will be replaced too.
Thanks a lot for your good tips and experience shared man
