Well this event actually occurred two weekends ago but I just have pics now to show you what goes on south of the equator.
This show developed from an indoor table-top show specialising in fire-arms and militaria (books, medals, clothing, utensils etc.)
The organisers recognised the need to embrace the general public's interest in military history with the 100th anniversary of WWI being in the fore-front of our nations mind - Not to mention WWII 70th and Vietnam 50th anniversaries also.
So it was moved outdoors and additional exhibition involvement from re-enactors, MV's, Community groups (Boy-scouts etc) was encouraged and 3 years later it's on a roll. The ethos is "this event is about supporting those that serve our country, and promoting an interest in our military history"
Some pics of our MV Club display and a WWII battle re-enactment of an Italian theater skirmish. (Warning - Some vehicles you may not see every day in USA). Hope you find it interesting...
Oh, we designated just one vehicle for photo-ops (The jeep with .50 cal) and it was a huge hit, particularly with Asian visitors who posed all over it.
