Took a ride in the deuce from Front Royal VA up to Chambersburg PA today to pick up my new trailer. It will soon be stripped down into its components - the genset is going to be fixed, the trailer is going to AMG, and someone else has already called for all the laundry equipment.

Chambersburg has a new site rep - Justin has since left and gone on to bigger and better things, but his replacement Matt is a great guy. Helped me get all hooked up and guided me while I backed up the truck to the trailer.

Ride back was uneventful - very nice weather, the trailer towed like a dream, and almost no traffic. The deuce was a little slower with the trailer - it was a 10K pound trailer with all the equipment on it, and the deuce had about 4-5K of cargo in the bed (hey, I'm already loaded up for Aberdeen). It didn't buck and sway, but you felt the addl. weight back there. Only casualities the whole trip were: I lost one of the rubber chock blocks off the trailer somewhere between PA and VA, the chain holding it on was rusted and it vibrated off. I also lost the use of my blinkers en route - not sure why, one minute they worked, after that, nothing.

Total mileage - 220 miles. First big road trip with the spin on oil filters in place. Worked great and no leaks!

Thanks to dm22630 - who loaned me some front yard space to park my beast until Aberdeen.

Mike found out just how wet my yard is today.......he had to engage the front wheels to back up across a flat yard.
