LMTV Group 31 Battery mod?

Anyone have a link or description of the process required to modify the battery compartment on my m1078 to properly house a pair of group 31 batteries?

I tried searching but i’m not sure how to work around “31” not being accepted by the search function, and with that I kept coming up short.

Not a direct answer to your question but I find a targeted Google search far more effective than the forum search. All you have to do is include `site:steelsoldiers.com` in your query. I also usually add "FMTV" to cut down on the CUCV and HMMV results

You must remove the inner battery pocket tray and replace it with a flat plate. You must cut the pockets out of the lid to make enough height to fit the group 31’s. If you cut carefully the bottoms of those pockets can be carefully cut to fit flush in the holes left when cutting the pockets out and then epoxied into place and sanded flush…
