The Army doesn't usually provide service records with vehicles. If you happen to find some paperwork in your vehicle count yourself lucky. Don't expect to get service records with a surplus vehicle.

My USAF flight line Van came with all Maint records, original window sticker and 2 titles, 1 from GM and the other from Grumman that did the conversion signed over to the property book officer at Tinker Field. My deuce and flying vans deuce had theirs with them also on floppy disc's, and log books they were both from a ND guard unit.

Has anyone received service records for their auction vehicles from GovLiq or GovPlanet or the military base?

Thanks.
We've bought about 35-40 trucks from GL, none from GP.

Only 3 had records and that was because the USAF left them in the truck.

The overwhelming odds are you will not get records with whatever you buy.

My USAF M35A2 had a pile of records, from the build sheet to the email saying to send it to DRMO...

The Army doesn't worry about sending records along with the vehicle like the USAF does. All your service records were purged the day it got sent to DRMO..

USAF sends them with the vehicle, Army doesn't. SAMS-E automated maintenance system does not maintain historical data once repairs are completed. Considered it a fault of the system.

My Deuce from WRAFB came with all the records from the AM General assembly plant, to Patrick AFB here in Florida & when it was transfered to WRAFB in Georgia 3 years later. All the maintenance work was recorded in the triplicate paperwork that came in a folder in the glovebox. It even included the prep & painting labor costs, plus material 18 months before they sent it to DRMO for disposal. Then again, it was an Air Force truck; not an Army truck.
