I was wondering how a m1082 trailer bed would fair as a dump bed. I am referring to the aluminum sides. Would there be any way to easily reinforce them or would they be ok for smaller loads. I was thinking of only hauling dirt/ sometimes 57 stone and not boulders.

The sides would not hold up at all, the hinge pins are like 0.25” and the two upper slide latches are from a household door looks like. The bed itself is very strong.

You'll probably need quite a bit of reinforcement of the bed. But there seems to be room for a scissor lift. Plan for at least a 50* dump angle or more.
