Since tires for my 8x8 haven't been made for almost 20 years, I'd like to see how/if they were covered in the then current tire manual, TM 9-2610-200-14 during the 1970-1980 period...
The version in our resources section is from the year 2000.

Thanks.

Tire Manual for 8X8

I have a copy of TM9-2610-200-20 dated Feb 1977 (replaced Nov 1972 edition) Orginazational Care, Maint and Repair of Pneumatic Tires, Tubes and Radial Tires

Lots of good information on all sizes and types of tires. It looks pretty general and does not cover any specific vehicles like the 8X8.

There are a few charts that show NSN numbers for replacement items and Repair kit materials by tire size and rim type. Is that what you are looking for?

Tell me again what the 8X8 tire and rim is.

Thanks for your replies!
Here is the information/description from the TM (image).

Often when researching an item, just a note or small paragraph, where it's mentioned can lead to new knowledge. This tire was exclusively made for the m656 series trucks and was pretty special at the time, tubeless, low profile, low pressure bias ply mounted on 12-inch wheels.
Goodyear and BF Goodrich had slightly different tread designs and at least one company, Uniroyal, made a radial version. Tubes were to be used at extreme low temperatures...
