I have a 1031 thats working great. I rewired it to a low zig zag 120/240 split. It runs 60hrz
at 1800 rpm .Has anyone ever changed the gen pulley to slow the motor and keep the gen rpm
at 1800.Truck would not be so loud and it seems like the 6.2 should have plenty of torque and H.P at a lower rpm and not sound like its running so fast. Seems like a 2 to 1 ratio on the gen pulleys would make the motor 900 rpm and the gen 1800. Then adjust the governer linkage
to compensate. Anyone ever done this.
Thanks T.Z.
