M1008 disc brake conversion...no park brake

I have a 1986 CUCV that has been converted to disc brakes in the rear with no working park brake. It has the foot pedal and a cable that runs just past the cab of the truck and nothing else any ideas of what I can do or what needs purchased so I can pass a Texas state inspection and register the truck

Maybe install a Mico brake lock and find a lenient inspection station?
