RE: M1008 engine and ?

All your lighting on the CUCV is 12 Volt.. Engines are available almost daily on GL and from many dealers.. Get the manuals and study them in bed and then work on your truck. ACE

RE: M1008 engine and ?

MR, the only things that are 24v on the cucv's are the starting system, glow plugs (cut down with a resistor), slave connection, and connection for communication equipment. All you would need to do for towing a civy trailer is to make an adapter/jumper between your trailer harness and the plug on the truck. Or you could splice into the wiring with a different connection to match your harness.
If you were to tow a military trailer, say an M101 3/4t, you would need to change the bulbs in the trailer to 12v as they are 24v. They would work, but would be dim.
