Hello all,

I had a question Regarding the brake proportional Valve. The previous owner of my M1009 removed the plug used for the brake proportional valve(photo). So my proportional valve is not hooked up.

I looked up some threads and the tm and was able to trace back and find the truck side plug near the coolant overflow bottle, so i have the wire and plug for that bracket.

I guess my question is, is the bracket and plug even neceassy? Or can i just splice the wire straight onto the proportion valve?

Please let me know if I need to clarify with afditional pictures.

thanks

Electrically it does not matter if the bracket is not there. Just secure the wire in several locations as it is a long run and may move with airflow into places it does not belong.

Thank you for your reply.

That bracket appears to have a spade to attach the wires. My question is do I need the bracket with spade connections for the valve light to work correctly? Please see photos.

i have the truck side wire. The wire coming off of the valve is broken off.

Can I just splice the connections together? Or does this bracket with the spades serve another purpose for each wire end?
