M1009 horn problem

Horn not working. Fuse is good, found wire at horn cut in two near capacitor. Spliced cut wire back, now horn won't quit? :???: Replace relay next? What say you...

I used a pair of needle nose pliers to split the diode in half. I agree with CUCVRUS - the diode is difficult to get to. Lay a piece of padding on the driver side floorboards and lay on your back.

There may be rust under the horn button. Use a Torx bit to remove the cup under the horn button. Sand off all the rust, reinstall the cup and the horn button.
