M1009 seat belt upgrade by Military?

Anyone ever heard of a CUCV seat belt upgrade performed by the Military? Recently picked up a m1009 that originally came from Ft Jackson SC, and noticed it had different style seat belts from every other truck I've owned. Thought it was just a unit level upgrade until I found these blueprints in the DRMO turn in paperwork. Have any of you ever came across this before?

That looks the same as mine. Didn't know there were differing types.

I haven't had the stock belts in a while but those look like the correct ones to me......


I've got hmmwv belts now.

Really? All my other 09s have had this older style shown here. I know its similar, just thought it strange that they needed blueprints to install seat belts. Even says CUCV on the print.

I'm certainly not an expert by any means but it looks like mine was moded like yours because they don't look anything like your second set of pics. I just thought mine were original. Good to know
