M1009 turn signal issues

I’ve searched all sorts of post and I’m sure this has been covered but I’ll be danged if I can find the answer. Here goes, turn signals and hazards on my M1009 won’t flash at all but when the brakes are pushed all the turn signals light but still won’t flash. I’ve checked all bulbs, grounds fuses and flashers and everything appears to be in order. Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas where to start.

How did you check the grounds ?
Did you take them apart and clean them or just look at them?
A little more detail in how you checked each part would help.
Do the blinkers light without the brakes pushed?

Yes I took the grounds a part cleaned and inspected each one. Tested fuses with volt meter and replaced all flashers with brand new HD flashers. The blinkers will not light without the brakes being pushed and only burn solid at that point.

Sounds like a problem with the blinker control switch in the steering column or a short in wires inside the column.
Most likely the switch since they don't come on without the brakes pushed.

Edit; is the blackout light switch in the service position ?

Well I feel really stupid and relieved at the same time. Seems my hazard light switch had gotten pushed in and was causing this issue. I guess the good news is I have become very familiar with the wiring harness on my m1009. KISS, keep it simple stupid!
