I have one for my M1008 and I love it. It is light enough to maneuver in the grass by hand. It has LED marker lights and some have LED tail lights as well. It's nice and wide too. Tailgate removes similar to a pickup truck tailgate. Only thing is to check the bearings. SOme members have found that the bearings were getting hot due to the crown nut being over tightened.

It depends on what you plan to do. Do you own both of these or shopping for one? If shopping, I would suggest The M101A3. It has an 8' long bed. The M101A1 does too but only 45" between the fenders. Needs should dictate what you take.

I like the 1101, but own three of them, so I might be bias. :)

Here is a picture from another member to see physical differences.

If pulling with a cucv, you will have the same width with a m101. The 1101 is much wider and you will not be able to see past it unless you get towing mirrors to add on.

For that truck, I'd say m101.

A1 doesn't have surge brakes, the 1101 does. Depending on the local DOT trailer requirements, might dictate your choice. I have both and both pull nicely behind my 75 chevy long bed PU. 2WD version of your 1008. Also, unless the 101A1 has had an axle swap, tires and rims may be hard to find or get service for. The lights on the 1101 are more likely to comply with modern trailer lighting standards. Without knowing what you plan on using the trailer for, can't really express a preference at this point.

I had a M1101 and it looked much to big behind my 2001 2500 Suburban. It did track well. I sold it to a guy with a Dodge 1 ton 4x4 and it looked great behind his truck. I love my M101 and will never get rid of it.

For that truck and with a light load, my order of preference would be :
1 - M101A3
2 - M101A2
3 - M101A1
4 - M1101/M1102

If you plan on carrying the trailer with a heavy load, I would reverse #3 and #4 due to surge brakes on the M1101 and lack of brakes on the M101A1.

Thank you all for you help guys...
M1102s are very tempting because you can get them almost unused for less than 1000€...
M101 are about 500€ + BUT A1s , A2s 1500€ + 1500km to bring one down here...
