M101A1 Axle Diameter

Can anyone check the OD of the axle in their M101A1? I'm at work and would like to order steel and truth be known, the 101 is a half a state away.

I have one 15 feet away from me and a tape measure in my tool box. I would do it but it seams that I have anger problems.

Spelling problems too. I can hold out for a better source of info or at least one that knows his/her location.

You may have found your answer by now, but the od of an M101A1 axle tube is 3in by tape measure. If you want a really accurate measurment, I can go sand the paint off and use some calipers if need be
