After Eastern Pa's nearly snowless winter, it has been abnormally dry; 5.3 inches of snow in Allentown, (20.1 inches below average) and a 2.5 inch below average rainfall, it has been really busy with brush fires around the region. Here you see our deuce and M1028 working a 1 to 1.5 acre brush fire.
Our neighboring department was called in to assist us with manpower as this was a week day afternoon and manpower is low. Our M1028 carries 200 gallons of water, 10 gallons of foam, 100 feet of redline booster hose and 150 feet of 1.5" forestry hose.
The deuce has a 600 gallon water tank, Scotty around the foam eductor system, 2 200-foot red booster hose reels, and 600 feet of 1" forestry line.
Both carry an assortment of tools.
