3.5" is too big. 3 3/8" is too small. Before I order any more sockets that are wrong, does any one have the specs for the M105A3 hub nut and lock nut size? (They're the same) This is driving me "nuts "(yuck yuck yuck)

ISSUE RESOLVED : 3 3/8" was the right socket. The locking washer tabs were bent over and had to be pried up.

I really appreciate the response. Are you sure this is for an M105A3, as opposed to an A2 or A1? The nut is close to 3.5 inches but seemingly under by a bit but not less than 5 3/8 given that socket won't go on there.

Well darn, it seems like 3 3/8 should fit given those dimensions...but it wont sleeve over. * sigh *

Take a good look at the hub nuts, and make sure the locking washer tab is bent back. Someone could have rounded the corners of the nun.
Thank for this. The tabs of the lock washer was what was preventing the socket from sleeving over the bolt. It was all covered in grease and I didn't notice it until you brought this up and I dug around in there. The 3 3/8 socket works perfectly.

Thanks again fellas!

Now to figure out the torque spec when I put it back.

It was quite a chore dismounting and then mounting the tire/wheel/drum assembly mostly because I did it alone. Heavy stuff. Do you guys leave the wheel mounted to the hub when you do this? Or remove the lugs and take the wheel off first to make things more manageable? I left the wheel/tire mounted to the hub and removed the whole assembly as one after taking the axle nuts off and sliding the bearing out. Heavy.
