Overlanding M1078

Hi All,
Picked up a 1998 M1078 and looking at getting it insured and registered in MA. Goal is to make it an RV, but that's at least a couple of years out from being a completed project.
In the mean time, I'd like to be able to drive it around legally. I was going to register it in VT, but worried that it could create problems for insurance.
Any help appreciated!
