M1079 dies once put into gear

M1079 starts and runs. But dies once put in forward or reverse. Like a shut off not overload.

TCC lock may be stuck on. (Torque Convert Clutch)

Check idle speed too. Cant hurt to be on the higher side of the factory spec.

does the trans ECU/panel stay turned on? if not, check the battery connections. Had that issue with one here, couldn't figure it out, ended up being a corroded out 12v wire in the battery box.
