Can the M1083 cargo bow kit be made to fit the M1078?

No takers on this....so no one has tried to cut down a set of the cheap M1083 bow sets and tried to make them
work on an M1078?

They are modular so its not inconceivable that it would work but I have not tried. Im not really a tarp and bow person.

Anyway...yea, I see no reason they could just be shortened up a bit, the width is the same.

The bow sets made of the heavy steel pipe, all you have to do is cut one end of each horizontal stay to the correct spacing and it's done.
On the heavy set the bows are one piece.
On the light weight sets it would be a real job as you would have to cut out the middle of each horizontal stay and splice it back to the correct length or cut off one end and reform/crimp and drill it to fit the 3 sided female slot on the bow.
On the light weight the bows are three pieces.
