M113 tracks on a Deuce???

I was talking to a friend and he related how M113 APC tracks could be fitted to
the duals of a Deuce to make it into a halftrack. He said it worked along the same pattern as what Christie did back in the 20/30s. He related how he saw it done in the USMC using old M113 tracks which were put right over the tires.....

BS?
Or has someone heard of this being done?

I thought BS at first, but thought I would ask here to find out

Im sure it is possible but cant be good for the tires. The m113 track seem to be a little to narrow, a tank track I think would be better but how good would steering be and Im sure speed was cut down to.
