Hello, I am new here.. just bought my dream truck (M1151A1 REV B 6.5L TD)
She's running a little hot and managed to get my hands on the TMs, etc .. been going through things and got to checking the fan.

COOLING SYSTEM Fan: (Serial Numbers 300000 and Above)
Type Nine Blade
Diameter 23 in. 58.0 cm

It's kind of hard to get to the fan, since you cannot see it from top-down, looking @ the engine. About to go out and crawl underneath to hopefully catch a glimpse of it.

Update: got underthere and noticed "bite-sized" chunks out of 4 of the blades.

How much does this actually affect cooling? Enough to bounce between 240 and 220 on a 6.5L TD?

I appreciate any replies!

Replace the blade while you are replacing the fan viscous fan clutch.
