I just found a 10 ton that the farmer was going to scrap. the winch and 5th wheel are gone. He told me that he would sell it to me at scrap price. So how much would it weight
without the winch and 5 th wheel. Would this be a good price? It looks like a 8 cly. diesel
and run great .body is so so little rust on cab. going to try and get pictures Saturday

Great find! If I'm not mistaken the military listed the M123 at 31000, so subtract a few hundred for the fifth wheel and probably a thousand or so for the winch assembly and you've got a ballpark figure.

M 123 I think they were V-8 Gassers. But I don't know for sure.

M123A1C had V8 Cummins 300s... special Military versions (the engine). From the factory, most m123s (if not all) had the LeRoi T-H844 V8 Gassers.

If its got the Diesel, your standard weight is 29k
If its got the Gasoline engine, your standard weight is 32.25k.

You're looking at 27-30,000 lbs right there.
