sorry for the quick post. I am trying to get a jump on the new trucks problem. When started it will not idle and revs high on its own, does anyone have a clue what will causethis? The truck is still at GL and was thinking it could be bad fuel/clogged filter? thanks for any help.

When A diesel is shut down the governor pulls the rack to wide open. When the truck is not started for a long time the rack sticks in wide open. when it is started months later it runs wide open. Shut it down with the emergency fuel shut down and it sticks closed. Then it will not start. You have to free up the rack in the injection pump. Been there and done that.
