I have a 1972 M35a2 with a Cargo bed and need to convert if to a dump truck but want a hydraulic dump because I know I will frequently be overloading it and it may be a bit much for a electric hoist and the cargo box.. Any suggestions?? the current box is in near perfect condition with a full canvas and seats, it would be hard to destroy that and make a dump.. it may be wise to sell the box with all the goodies and buy a new hoist and box .. one like this, does anyone know what is needed to hook one up? anyone have parts to do? thanks

Welcome to the site, Darrick.
As porky said, there are a ton of threads covering all aspects of deuce dump conversions. It would be a good idea to hone your searching skills and find some of those pre-existing threads and read up on the topic.
Please take further discussion over to the relevant threads.
Here are just a few to get you started:
I bought a dump bed kit from C & C Equipment and thought I'd go through the installation. This kit was originally made for trailers so the factory instructions are rather generic. Longer hydraulic hoses have been included by C & C but you will need a set of battery cables. First remove...

I'm looking at getting around to converting my deuce bed to a dump bed, mostly for general purpose debris hauling around the farm (not heavy duty dirt/gravel etc). I've searched and searched on here and found several threads and lots of information, but I've still got a few questions. If I have...

Ok, I'm going ahead with my project to compile all of the deuce dump conversion threads. This thread is going to be where I'll start posting all the info. It's a work in progress so it may not look like much at first but I'll be working on it.

Here's a pic of my latest dump project. On this one I used a civilain dump bed and trans PTO to run the pump. After my failed attempt to fip the PTO and to find a reasonably priced accessory drive, I ended up mounting the pump in front of the PTO. The pump is mounted beside the engine under the...

Here is a few pictures of a dump conversion my brother and I recently finished. The truck works great. The box dumps at a 45 degree angle. Plenty far for gravel. I've hauled 5 loads so far with the truck without any problems. The box could use taller sideboards though. 5 ton of gravel fills it...

After seeing all the deuce dumpers on here I said to myself "I gotta have one of them!" That and I'll pay for 1/2 the hoist on the delivery savings when I gravel the drive as soon as I finish it! I found the hoist for a heck of a deal from these guys (no affiliation) Premium Supply - Home Page...

The truck is still under construction but now able to dump under it's own power. All the real work is done, the pto control linkage is complete and works perfect. The hoist control cable is done and works very smoothly. First time out doors so I could raise it all the way up is right now, Happy...

Here are some pics of a Deuce converted to a dump that one of my customers had done. The conversion cost him about $4800 complete. I looked it over today and it looks REALLY good!!! He works the heck out of it. Hauls asphalt, wood and rock all the time. He has been using the front winch to...

anyone know anything about putting a dump kit, be it homemade or a production kit, on their duce? I think it would make the truck so much more versitile.
