m35a2 speedo and tach question

How do the cables attach to the back of the speedometer and tachometer? Threaded collar or? I need to pull the gauge cluster and i dont want to screw up anything back there.

Yes, both thread on. Use standard SAE wrenches if they're more than hand tight. Standard righty tighty, lefty loosey. Mine were only hand tight, and that's how I put them back on. Don't over tighten, they only need to be snug.
