Dear Fellow Members,

I have my winch pto mounted up and now it is time to run my winch drive shaft up to the winch.

I have one problem though. There is two U-bolts that hold the winch drive shaft to the winch's yoke/ u-joint.

My U-bolts threads are damged and cannot be used, even with trying to clean the threads up.

My question is where can I find a new set. Are these u-bolts common parts that can be found or are they special order items.

Worst comes to worst I am sure I can get them from tnj murray yet would like to get this done this week.

These u-bolts are slightly flat to accomodate the yoke.

Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Seth

Look for a Fleet Pride near you.

They are driveline specialist. They will have them or get them for you. Take your old ones with you.

U-bolts

FYI, the very same U-bolts can be found in older Jeeps and most 1/2ton 4x4s with Dana/Spicer axles.

As G said, they take the same Spicer 5-153X joint as most older half tonners and Jeeps. Very common item.
