M37 Heater & Defroster

Has anyone got any ideas about how to install defrosters in an M37 that doesn't involve the big bulky dash pane?.

I'd like to install an under dash heater and somehow plumb it to defrosters.

I've heard of people using a drilled pipe mounted below the window with holes positioned to blow air on the glass???

I've also heard of people successfully using the glue on defroster wires like the ones used on rear window defrosters???

Has anyone been down this road before?

The drilled pipe works well so-long as you have plenty of air moving threw it.
I use a tractor at work that has this set up.
I think the hummer H1 windows have built in defrosters. Don't know if they fit but that would be sweat if they did.
