M38a1 used for medical corps

Im trying to do something different for this resto,I would like to do a front line jeep set up to hold strechers and medics.Does any one have any pics ? what ,if any RED CROSS emblems would be on it?
NO 4077 B.S. i want to make it as authentic as I can

P.S. what would they carry as far as medical supplies?

That would be the stretched M38A1 the M170. Litters, aid bag and blanket set.

My question is did they use a M38A1 , when no M170 was available?I don't want to try and do something that never existed.
Would I put the Red cross on the hood, or rear end where the star usually goes.Would I put the medical symbol on front fender by driver?
How would they have mounted litters,for storage& carrying some one from the front lines.

The used what ever was available to them at the time. the jeeps were modified in the field by the individual units. They did all kinds of creative things.

Go to google and put in medic jeep or litter jeep and there are a bunch of them, mainly WWII but it should give you some ideas.

My grandfather who bought the jeep you see brand new in 46 was a WWII medic, He left us 8 yrs ago to be with the lord! I was a Corpsman in the USMC 1989-1996 Yes the Marine had Corpmans, trained by the Navy of cource! He left me the jeep and i restored it in rememberance of him! I was with the 2nd medical so that is the markings i used! If you need any help just ask. See ya at the Ga Rally in 2013.
