m52a2 brake leak

need advice here please.
I'm buying a 5 ton ,haven't picked it up yet. seller says the brakes went out,now the rear axle leaks (both sides).
I'm a little concerned about both going the same time. is this normal ? on any other vehicle id think contamination .
